How long before the wedding must I contact Saint Peter Church?
The couple should contact Deacon John at least one year prior to the wedding to schedule the wedding and in order to leave enough time for all the Marriage Preparation required by the Archdiocese of Saint Louis.
What times are Weddings scheduled at Saint Peter Church?
Weddings are usually scheduled on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. or on Saturdays at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Can non-parishioners schedule weddings at Saint Peter Church?
With the permission of the pastor of the Catholic party, non-parishioners can schedule weddings at Saint Peter Church.
Is there a fee to use Saint Peter Church for weddings?
Yes, there is a fee for the use of the church. Parishioners are regularly charged $400 and non-parishioners and new parishioners are charged $800. This covers the use of the church and the services of our wedding coordinator.
Who presides at weddings at Saint Peter Church?
Our Pastor, Fr. Bauer, and or Associate Pastor, Fr. Meyer are available to preside at weddings with Mass for parishioners. Deacon John is available to preside at weddings of parishners celebrated outside of Mass. Non-parishioners are required to make arrangements with other clergy(Deacons or Priests) to preside at their wedding.
